As a tech enthusiast I have always admired the works of Mozilla Foundation.
I joined Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology and came to know about college Mozilla Club.I was interested in joining the club and started following it on Facebook.
I mailed the club lead Srushtika Neelakantam about myself and my field of interest.
After series of further correspondence and questioning I was welcomed in the Club.

Our first Club meetup was planned. Everyone in the team attended it. We got to know about each other and their hobbies. The club helped me develop my social , language,and coding skills through different activities.
We organised a orientation session for the first year batch of our college on 22nd September 2015.
Through this session we aimed at spreading awareness and introducing new students to Mozilla and Open Source concepts.
Students were excited and enthused to attend the orientation. It was an interactive session of about two hours. It was started by an introduction to Mozilla Foundation and Open Source Initiative.
I delivered the presentation about Open Source.It was a new experience for me. It taught me how to face such a large crowd and gave me the confidence to face it.
More important topics like FSA Programme ,Womoz ,Webmaker etc. were also discussed in details.
Interested students enquired about different initiatives of Mozilla.
We all learned a lot from this experience.I am looking forward to contributing to Mozilla and Open Source and learn coding and web development.
